These ports can also be used to cascade the switches together to expand the number of ports available for network connections.Copper/SFP Gigabit ports provide an alternative solution to fiber-optic or copper twisted-pair wires as the transmission media, allowing you to instantly upgrade your servers to Gigabit capability without requiring you to install new, expensive fiber cables.

All ports support auto-negotiation of MDI/MDIX crossover. This eliminates the need for crossover cables or uplink ports.
